Saltcoats Rocked!
Marvelus has enjoyed its busiest summer on record, music festivals have proved to be a particularly important growth sector. Following the success of Park Live in May, Saltcoats Rock followed on the weekend of July 17-18. Another outing for the Air Dome, which performed admirably in the gusty conditions on the seafront, for this family oriented event put together by Zap Entertainment’s Dougie Jackson and supported by the Irvine Bay Regeneration Company.
The crowds lapped up a diverse offering of musical treats which ranged from Neil Diamond Tribute Act, 'The Diamond Experience', to a Fab 4 tribute, the 'Beatles Beat'. Seventies floorshow, 'Boogie Wonderland' and High School Musical , provided a sharp contrast to Celtic Rock band, Calanish and 'Simple Minded', performing a 30th anniversary tribute to their famous namesakes.
